Created for outdoor furniture giant Dedon, German designer Sebastian Herkner has created the coziest Mbrace Chair to offer the utmost comfort and relaxation. With this lounging chair, the designer intends to introduce the language of Nordic-inspired design into the renowned German manufacturer’s outdoor furniture collection.
When you think of outdoor furniture, you probably give more preference to practicality than comfort. That’s why outdoor furniture is often considered to include light airy chairs with matching tables made of wood and steel in organic or bright hues, with little or no cushions and textiles. However, with Mbrace, Herkner wants to challenge your function-driven thinking about furniture for outdoor areas of your home.
Coming to its layout, the chair has been handwoven in 38 working hours and includes 565-meters of DEDON fiber. The company’s fiber is carefully handwoven on a solid teak base to offer extraordinary lounging experience.
The name of the chair takes a cue from the material and technique utilized for making a mesh-like, open, triaxial wave of three different fibers. This doesn’t just put the difference in the profile but colors as well, leading to the soft vibrating overall appearance.

This seating collection includes three separate options; a lounger, a wingback, and a rocker, along with an extra footstool. The entire collection oozes comfort and warmth with its deep seats, wide backrests, and soft cushioning.
For a limited time only, Dedon is offering Mbrace chair in limited edition colorway – Cinnabar. This new edition is juts limited to 300 pieces. Moreover, each edition has been numbered and also comes with Sebastian Herkner’s signature.
