Creative woodworker Matt Thompson, well known for one-of-a-kind contraptions including the beer-dispensing Adirondack chair has come up with another cool project. This time, Thompson has created a birdhouse and has added luxury amenities to it, turning it into a bird resort.
Unlike common birdhouses, this one features a pool with chairs/loungers around and a cabin filled with birdseed. Thompson has also attached light bulbs around the pool that illuminate at night. The birdhouse is majorly made from wood – glass is used in the cabin and metal for the roof. The structure is elevated from the ground level, which is an ideal setting and how the birds like it.

Just as if he wants birds to spin the wheel of fortune when they visit – Thompson has attached a small wooden chore wheel to the cabin with options: poop on cars, work on nest, dig for worms and eat for free.
This luxury birdhouse is ready for birds and some have already checked in at Thompson’s – check out the video below. Given the kind of love the bird resort has received on social media; Thomson says, he is ‘working on making The Bird Resort available for purchase.’
