Lawn mowing was once a manual chore and frankly, not one that people liked all that much. Thankfully, technological advancements provided us with a way to simply sit back and let next-gen robot lawn mowers take care of our outdoor spaces, whether giving it a haircut or sweeping. Chinese robotic outdoor solutions company, Mammotion, is among the top names for autonomous lawn maintenance. At CES 2025, Mammotion is unveiling two new mini robot lawn mowers to tend to every nook and cranny of your small lawn without bumping into things thanks to Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration.
Being touted as an advent of the future of autonomous lawn care, Mammotion’s new robot lawn mowers, Luba mini, and Yuka mini, are shrunk-down versions of its Luba and Yuka. Both machines are similar in some aspects to their full-size versions but are designed for smaller lawns. These tiny robot mowers are equipped with a new UltraSense AI Vision. It uses AI to create precise maps and navigate terrain changes in your outdoor space.
The Luba mini has the same AWD platform as its big brother Luba. It only weighs 33 lbs and has an 88-watt motor for tall and thick grass. The device has an Omni wheels design and an 8-inch cutting width and is built to mow small areas of up to 0.37 acres with a 15-zone management. Its four-wheel drive makes it easier to work slopes of up to 38 degrees.
It has an adaptive suspension systems that ensure stable and uninterrupted mowing for uneven ground. The UltraSense AI Vision allows the machine to create invisible boundaries for mowing and areas to avoid such as pools and flower beds. This technology further ensures mowing for up to 980 feet from its charging dock without a satellite signal in areas like under the trees.
The Yuka mini, on the other hand, only weighs 22 lbs and is ideal for lawns of up to 0.2 acres. It offers automatic mapping of the space within 10 minutes and is perfect for first-time users or people with smaller yards. Yuka mini can even be voice-controlled. You simply need to command over Alexa or Google Home and Yuka will begin the work. With the Mammotion app, you can monitor your yard in real time.
If the claims of the company are to be believed, the robot mowers feature precise edge cutting within two inches of walls or fences thanks to advanced visual positioning. They can also recognize and avoid over 100 types of obstacles in real-time, from toys and garden tools to pets.
The Luba mini and Yuka mini can traverse the changing landscape of a yard without breaking workflow thanks to AI auto-mapping. Mammotion is set to simplify lawn maintenance with its UltraSense AI Vision and we are here for it. Both mowers are available for pre-order from the company website.
