Portuguese brand DAM specializes in designing and manufacturing sustainable furniture and accessories. We have previously featured its Dina chair that was made of minimal wood and cork to minimize its overall footprint. The MAGMA coffee table is another example of its nature-conscious design approach.
Designed by Hugo Silva and Joana Santos, it is a low coffee table that combines two natural materials to bring a warm, rustic feel to the house. The outer semi-sphere of the table is made of agglomerated dark cork that represents Earth’s crust while it features a polished stone top with expressive veins that refers to substances found under the Earth’s crust.
The MAGMA coffee table is perfect to bring the beauty of nature into the home. It depicts a peculiar narrative about the beauty of our planet, dynamic yet deeply fragile, highlighting the importance of the Mother Nature.
