Most of us go through a rough patch in life. We lose our loved ones, get laid off at work, or in the moment of adversity, even end up losing ourselves. Luwan Hy is one such lady who saw life turn upside down on her when she had to go through a tough divorce. Most of us would have panicked and confined ourselves within closed walls but Luwan, being the strong woman that she is, chose to live life small-sized instead. Her rebuilding process started with choosing a tiny house and settling in it with three pet dogs. And as you’d guess, her home is called the Luwan tiny house.
With thousands of builders around, the Texas-based lady picked Indigo River Tiny Homes to build the 400-square-foot tiny house for her. Measuring 34 feet long, the mobile abode is built on a triple-axle trailer and comes finished in Board and Batten siding with cedar accents. Luwan tiny house is not just gorgeous from the outside but is equally charming inside courtesy of a spacious and generous interior.
Upon entering you’d be graced by a gorgeous living room which she has equipped with a sofa, side table, center table, and a television. Nearby is a removable ladder that leads to the first loft of the micro dwelling. Functioning as a typical low-ceiling bedroom, the loft can even be utilized as a storage space, a secondary living room, or a meditating spot.
Moving downstairs, we have a kitchen that features an extended cabinet. The gourmet kitchen boasts solid oak butcher block counters with custom cabinetry to store utensils. We can also spot a full-size farmhouse sink, full-size fridge, and an oven alongside toe-kick drawers that offer Luwan comfort and helps her utilize every inch of the available space. Adjacent is a Peninsula dining bar which can be utilized as a worktop desk as well.

The Luwan tiny house also features another loft which can be accessed via a storage-integrated staircase. The second loft functions as a primary bedroom with a wrap-around landing that allows anyone under six feet and four inches to get into bed from a standing position. It also includes two full-size wardrobes and comes with a pop-up desk which allows Luwan to work from the comfort of her bed.
Under the loft bedroom lies the bathroom featuring a corner shower and a flush toilet. The tiny house is gorgeous and an empowering statement for all women: How to live life to the fullest when the chips are down.
