Lutz 2513 Minicamper, crafted from German company Humbaur’s box trailer, is a highly customizable solution for travel enthusiasts. It appears to be a cargo trailer on the outside but can be equipped with everything one needs on an adventure trip, including sleeping space, kitchen, and storage space. Designed for solo travelers or couples, it provides a compact yet comfortable camping experience without unnecessary extras.
The Lutz 2513 Minicamper features a well-planned interior within its 251L x 132W x 152H cm space. The plywood walls are lined with gray felt for insulation, while the whitewashed oak-style vinyl flooring adds a modern touch. A 90×50 cm glass window and a 40×40 cm roof hatch are included in the design to ensure ample ventilation and natural light inside the camper.
The rear of the mini caravan features an L-shaped seating area and a table that can be folded forward or upward to create space for sleeping. The seating area transforms into a 200 x 131 cm sleeping space with insert panels and a 5-piece cold foam mattress. There is also an optional “Maxx-Flexx bed,” that allows for five different configurations including the transport mode that makes space to carry bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, surfboards, kayaks, kiteboards, etc. inside.
Additional camping amenities can be added with optional packages offered by the maker separately. You can have a kitchen module with a fold-out worktop extension, a stainless steel sink with a 12V faucet, 20L fresh and waste water canisters, storage compartments, an adjustable 12V LED spotlight, etc.
If needed, a 20L fridge and power packages can be added for further convenience. You can also include a portable chemical toilet with storage tanks and a folding dining table and coat rack package. Furthermore, there is an ambiance and storage package along with an optional sunshade.

Weighing approximately 500 to 550 Kg, the base unit can easily be towed by small vehicles or electric cars without the need for a special trailer license. Those looking for a higher payload capacity, there is an option for a braked trailer with 1300 kg gross vehicle weight rating in same body size. It increases load capacity to approximately 700 kg, while handbrake on the drawbar ensures safety and comfort.
The base unit of the Lutz 2513 Minicamper starts at just €8,970 (approx. $9,700) and you can customize it using the optional packages as per personal needs. With all the upgrades, the pricing goes up to €15,920 ($17,200), which is still lower than most brands. Undoubtedly, it is a budget-friendly alternative to larger motorhomes that provide essential camping comforts while doubling as a transport trailer.
