Tents are usually used for camping, but have you ever imagined living in it and considering it as a full-time home? Meet Bryce Langston, the chief mind behind ‘Living Big in a Tiny House‘ who realized this fantastic idea: He built a luxury tent as a temporary alternative to live in while he was building his dream tiny house.
Bryce used a Lotus Belle tent, stationed on a wooden decagon platform. Belle Tent is a classic, easy-to-set-up canvas tent that proved ideal for this DIY home project. The entire structure was solar-powered to reduce the extra cost of living and help save money in the long run. “I decided to move into the Lotus tent because it allowed me to escape the rent trap and dedicate more time and resources to the construction of my tiny house,” Bryce stated.
Bryce’s tent tiny house was designed to be a cozy and inviting living unit. A small kitchenette occupied the space to the left of the entrance and comprised a circular sink, a wooden platform, and a small fridge.
A perfect addition to the tent was a traveler’s stove to keep the space warm on chilly nights. Ideal temperatures were maintained within with a thermo-electric fan that helped circulate the heat throughout the tent. The stove also functioned as a cooktop for prepping meals.

Storage inside was taken care of by a wooden chest, while a cushiony bed with two side tables featured bases made from ceiling battens. Chairs and a table kept adjacent made for a cozy dining nook and doubled as a workstation for Bryce.
Bryce’s tent home featured a treehouse-style bamboo walled bathroom with a canvas umbrella roof. A sturdy platform held the bathroom, accessible by a suspended rope bridge, and it featured a composting toilet, sink, and shower that added functionality. Living full-time in the Lotus Belle tent for a good time, Bryce finally moved into his 20-foot-long, 8.5-foot-wide tiny house.
