Internet of Things (IoT) and connected devices are really in the rising stage, where big companies collaborate to produce versatile, appealing and useful smart home devices for consumers. Last year, Logitech introduced its wall-mounted Pop smart button that can control multiple smart devices with simple finger gestures. Recently, the company launched its Apple HomeKit-enabled version that can be used to control even more connected devices.
Along with new functionality, this smart button also includes features of the earlier product. The Logitech POP kit comes with a POP bridge, needed to connect it to a Wi-Fi network. Each button can be assigned to a maximum of three smart devices, and the bridge can be connected to an unlimited number of buttons.
Pair over Wi-Fi to the Apple’s Home app, assign tasks and leave the rest to the button. With Apple HomeKit integrations, now the Pop smart button can control Osram lighting, Hunter Douglas and Lutron blinds, and more. This Apple Home-kit compatible smart home switch is available in four colors. As per the official press release, it’s complete kit will cost US$59.95, and a single button will be available for $39.95 at Apple Store.
And if you own the first generation of the POP Home Switch, you can update its software to take advantage of the latest integrations.
