LG StanbyMe TV range has taken home entertainment to new heights. In 2021, the South Koran company first introduced us to the battery-powered TV on a rollable stand and then created a Briefcase version of the TV you could take outdoors. Now, the company has unveiled a new iteration of the StanbyMe that allows the user to detach the screen from the stand so that it can be placed even more freely.
The all-new LG StanbyMe 2 features a 27-inch touchscreen display and comes with a specially designed strap that lets you carry it like a bag on your shoulder or hang it on a wall like a picture frame. It also includes a folio cover with a kickstand that allows you to place it like a tablet on a surface.
The picture resolution has been upgraded from 1080p to 1440p and you can now magnetically attach the remote to the top of the TV. The battery power is also improved. The wireless smart display can now run for up to four hours on a single charge. Two USB-C ports can be used for charging and connecting external devices like webcams, while it continues with just one HDMI port like the predecessor.

LG has made great improvements in the StanbyMe 2 model that makes it better than the earlier version. Pricing and availability date remain elusive at the time of writing. No matter what people say, now it can serve like The Samsung Frame Pro. As visible in the pictures from CES 2025, you can display it like a picture frame or a clock on the wall, if you may.
