We are days away from CES 2025 and big brands have already started tempting tech lovers with their newest creations. LG specifically, after teasing its QNED TV line up has now taken the curtains off from its innovative lamp that functions as an indoor garden. The lamp cum indoor garden doesn’t come as a surprise considering LG has a history of introducing unique and eye-catching products at the grandest tech show of the year.
What’s intriguing is that it’s not the first time that LG has introduced an indoor garden at CES. If you can recall, the South Korean company revealed a similar kind of innovation for the CES 2022. The only difference between then and now the gardening station is that the 2022 creation boasted an enclosed design, while the 2025 LG indoor garden station features an open design. But there is more to it, as this time around the South Korean consumer giant has backed the indoor station with lighting features.
Coming in two variants (extra-tall floor-standing lamp and side-table lamp), this cutting-edge indoor gardening appliance is designed for both novice gardeners and urban dwellers seeking to bring a touch of nature into their homes. Combining a sleek, modern design with advanced gardening technology, LG’s 2025 lamp cum indoor garden collection offers a convenient and stylish solution for growing fresh greens, herbs and flowers. Both variants are compatible with the LG ThinQ app, enabling users to manage their plants, adjust lighting, and monitor growth remotely.
The tall height and open design of the lamp cum gardening station make it well-suited for nurturing a variety of plants, including taller species. So, whether you’re cultivating leafy greens or flowers, the adjustable height and LED growing lights ensure your plants thrive under optimal conditions. Furthermore, the indoor garden station cum lamp comes equipped with a 1.5-gallon water tank that automatically delivers the precise amount of water and nutrients required for the plants, ensuring optimal growth without extra effort from the user.
“Users can set up continuous growing cycles, and with the ability to hold up to twenty plants using four separate seed kits, the system automatically dispenses the right amount of water and nutrients for the type and number of plants being cultivated. This system ensures plants are well cared for – even when users are away for up to a week,” LG states.
This reminds me of Urbi, another impressive indoor garden appliance, we covered recently. Compared to Urbi, this indoor garden station helps promote plant health and brightens the home in the dark hours. Apart from boasting the functionalities of an indoor gardening station, LG’s latest innovation also features a slender, upright design, a circular ‘lampshade,’ and a sturdy base that blends seamlessly into any living space thus becoming a sophisticated interior object that adds décor to your home. This is possible courtesy of the lamp’s two distinctive light modes: a downward-facing grow light to promote plant health during the day and an upward-facing light to brighten your home in the evening.

“Our new indoor gardening appliances present a fresh way for customers to create their own personal green spaces, have fun growing their own plants, and infuse their homes with an inspired touch of modern style,” states Lyu Jae-cheol, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company. LG has yet to announce the names, pricing, or availability of the product and more details will be clear after it is exhibited at CES 2025.
