Letterfolk, the American product design brand run by the husband-wife duo of Johnny and Joanna is best known for customizable felt letter boards. In order to offer more such meaningful household products, the duo has come up with Tile Mat, a customizable doormat for homes. It comes with detachable hexagon tiles that can be used to create different patterns, designs, and messages on the mat.
Each Tile Mat includes a blank white tile canvas and 150 black hexagon tiles; however, they are also offering tiles in six different colors. The hexagon tiles are made of a flexible silicone material that fits snugly over the hexagon pattern on the mat. You simply need to lift an edge of the tile to pop it off, however, it will not slip off easily.
This customizable doormat is durable enough to be shaken, swept, vacuumed, scrubbed or washed with soapy water. The hexagon tiles can also be cleaned easily – just put them in an included bag and place it in the dishwasher. It can be used as a doormat and even put next to the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, shower, laundry room, etc.

Tile Mat currently comes in two sizes: the standard mat is 18” x 30” and the large mat is 24” x 36”. If you want one, pledge its Kickstarter campaign for a minimum of $70 to get the standard doormat, and $95 to get the larger doormat in December 2019.
Tile Mat may not be the fastest funded project, but the mat had the Kickstarter community go bonkers on arrival to be funded in entirety in just 7 minutes of going live.
