Calling all the dinosaur lovers: LEGO is bringing its biggest Jurassic World set yet. LEGO has announced a massive T-rex skeleton that measures over three feet long. The brick set comes with minifigures of our beloved paleontologists Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant from the original Jurassic Park (1993) movie, where the giant skeleton of the prehistoric animal was on display in the visitor center. Cue the iconic music from the trilogy.
Announced after the success of its Dinosaur Fossils T. rex and Triceratops Skull sets, this Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton brick set will be available to order on March 15, 2025. The 3,145-piece paleontology brick magic is designed for the 18+ age group, indicating that it might be tricky to build for kids due to some advanced building techniques involved.
Fully assembled, the Tyrannosaurus rex stands three feet long and 13 inches tall, which is pretty big. Paired with the minifigures of Sattler and Grant, the dinosaur brings back the movie nostalgia, though we do miss Jeff Goldblum’s Dr. Ian Malcolm in the company. While the mini figures of the two paleontologists are pretty on spot with details, Alan Grant doesn’t entirely look like himself without his hat. Regardless, the inclusion of these characters brings a touch of cinematic history to the set.
The brick skeleton has meticulously detailed joints, which can be posed in a variety of ways. Even though the set is designed as more of a display article than as a toy, the moveable body parts really add to the fun.
You can move its head, pose its arms and tail, open its jaw, and play make-believe. The set also comes with a display stand and a plaque, like the ones you would find in museums, with information about the T. rex. The collectible LEGO Jurassic World dinosaur model also includes hidden Easter eggs like all the LEGO sets based on movies. There is an amber piece included from the 1993 movie, and even a a printed 4×4 tile in the front with a skull fossilized in stone.

The Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus rex building set will be available for $249.99 starting March 15, although LEGO Insiders can enjoy early access from March 12.
