The new LeafyPod planter unveiled at CES 2025 is designed to keep your plants from dying. The planter through AI algorithms alerts you when your leafy friends are not getting enough sun or are over-watered. Meanwhile, its water reservoir holds enough water to last up to four weeks, guaranteeing your plants’ hydration even when you are not around. When fully charged, the battery lasts up to six months for unobstructed functioning.

Built to last, the LeafyPod planter combines state-of-the-art technology to nurture greens. Its AI-enabled features offer a seamless solution for both experts and novices alike on how to care for houseplants. Along with that, it also tackles four main concerns- soil moisture, light, temperature, and humidity- of houseplants passing away.

“Our vision is to harmonize technology with nature, creating an intuitive smart home device that allows anyone to connect with plants effortlessly,” said Cleo Song, co-founder of LeafyPod.

One of its primary features is its integration with the LeafyPod app, which lets you receive real-time updates on your phone when your plants are in dire need of your assistance.

The app also allows you to choose the type of plant in your planter, then through AI algorithms, the planter will learn how your plant and soil react during the first few watering sessions. Soon, the planter will adjust the watering routine depending on your plant’s needs, ensuring optimal watering and growth.

There are built-in sensors that alert you when your green buddies require more light or to be relocated to a warmer or less humid spot. You can also keep tabs on your plant’s health anytime with the app. For those who despise clutter, the planter requires a quick and cordless set-up. Boasting a minimal and aesthetic look, the LeafyPod planter is currently on sale for $148.
