There are no rules to abide by and you are free to play along when it comes to decorating your space for the Halloween celebration. As the new season rolls in and brings us close to the day, a search for the perfect Halloween theme that complements your house décor seems inevitable. Tuning in, a family in Winchester is well prepared to welcome the spooky season by adorning their yard with huge Halloween props.
Jon Swan brought his first 12-foot skeleton back in 2020 and the fervor has since then accelerated. He has created quite a stir by placing larger-than-life figures in his garden to amaze and attract the passersby on Cambridge Street. The drivers are sure to make a halt to take a look at these huge décor items that look eerie and spooky, especially at night.
Recognizable characters like Jack Skellington and Axl Rose, Slash, and the rest of Guns N’ Roses have made Jon’s yard become the talk of the town. Executed on a massive scale, this décor has animatronics that are motion-activated to create a scream-worthy scenario. In order to keep the road clear of any mishappenings, the visitors are suggested to walk or drive by carefully.

The terrifying yard scene with realistic statues of skeletons, witches, ghosts, scary pumpkins and demons draws in a lot of people. Complementing well with the overall décor is the use of Halloween inflatables to bring smiles to the faces of trick-or-treaters. The Swan family captivates their neighbors with specially designed figurines having movable parts, sounds and illuminated elements.
Synchronized lights and music keep the people hooked for a ghoulish holiday start. Spreading spookiness around has come at a whooping amount of over 10 grand for the past three years for the Swans. The garden’s décor is touted as massive and crazy by the onlookers.
