Amid thousands of tiny house makers and RV manufacturers, very few blur the boundaries between mobile homes and camping trailers quite like Land Ark. The Colorado-based company describes its creations as camping trailers (slightly larger than traditional teardrop trailers), but micro-dwelling enthusiasts often prefer to label them as ‘tiny houses on wheels’, courtesy of its bigger size. On those lines, Land Ark has recently unveiled a brand new camping trailer, which seems to be a hybrid of a tiny house on wheels and a camping rig.
The Land Ark Travel Trailer measures 26.8 feet long and 8.5 feet wide and challenges the notion that RVs are merely tiny houses on wheels with a smaller kitchen and bathroom. The Land Ark Travel Trailer rather packs a roomy living area, spacious bedroom, a wide open kitchen and a full bathroom inside its petite layout. Easily towed by most pickup trucks, the travel trailer features independent axle-less suspensions and 34-inch all-terrain tires that promise a smooth journey for adventurers.
As seen in the pictures, the Land Ark’s recent model features tires that boasts 23-inch of ground clearance, implying owners will enjoy a smooth ride regardless of how far their next adventure takes them. Another fascinating aspect of this travel trailer is its exterior that showcases a modern and minimalist design. To accentuate the look, the exterior has a maintenance-free black corrugated aluminum siding and dual-pane acrylic windows.
The interior isn’t short on features either. It has a living room, complete with a built-in sofa that transforms into a twin bed at night. During the day, the Euro loft twin bunk bed stows against the ceiling covering the skylight, but at night, offers perfect bedtime stargazing opportunities.
The skylight coupled with glass door and windows creates a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces and allows the interior to stay airy and bright. Another highlight of the travel trailer is a fold-down deck that expands the living space outside.
A little ahead is the kitchen that boasts a sink, fold-out prep table, coffee/bar storage, microwave oven, drawers, and a 24-inch smart television mounted on the wall. Like the rest of the company’s line-up, the Land Ark Travel Trailer features an office space that can be accessed via a sliding barn door. The office set up includes a desk and a bench. The desk pivots down at night to turn the office space into a bedroom. The bedroom constitutes a fold-down Murphy bed with a 10-inch luxury hybrid plush mattress. Past the kitchen is the bathroom, which includes a toilet, shower, and sink.

Most trailers rely on off-the-grid systems to generate power and streamline water and electricity supply. Similarly, the Land Ark Travel Trailer is capped with 1,200 Watts rooftop solar panels to power a high-efficiency air-conditioner, ensuring longer off-grid stays.
Other features include a rainwater collection system, a 100-gallon freshwater tank and 65-gallon waste water tank, 50 amp electrical connection, and standard RV water and sewage connections. With such features, do not expect Land Ark to sell the Travel Trailer for pennies. The company has currently priced the Travel Trailer at $220,000 giving names like Bowlus and Airstream a run for their money.
