Columbus-based builder Modern Tiny Living (MTL) needs no introduction. The tiny house manufacturer has been creating attractive micro-dwellings that cater to a variety of clientele, offering flexibility and mobility. The 24-foot-long Kokosing tiny house by MTL embodies the mantras of luxurious design and modern livability in a classic blue package. One of the most popular models, which was introduced in 2017, the Kokosing tiny house is designed to accommodate four people with ease. It packs an incredible amount of clever storage solutions, one in particular that might appeal to gun enthusiasts looking for a tiny with a nice place to store their toys.
Flaunting MTL’s signature elevated living room, which can double as an open-floor bedroom, the Kokosing is outfitted with a coveted underfloor storage compartment. While you can always invest in gun-concealment furniture, there is not much scope for that in a tiny house given the space limitations. The Kokosing eliminates the problem with a nice underfloor chamber. Whether you are an avid hunter or a recreational gun lover, there is more than enough room to stash a handful of guns and ammunition safely and within reach. But this feature doesn’t mean you have to compromise on other modern amenities in this compact dwelling.
Claimed by MTL as “truly the most livable tiny home in the world,” the tiny house on wheels is perfect to be used as a permanent home on the road or as an extension of your existing residence. It is outfitted with an elevated living room, loft bedroom, spacious kitchen, and compact bathroom. Upon entering, you see an elevated living area with bay windows. The space is occupied by a U-shaped couch with built-in storage and an underfloor storage compartment and can be turned into a king-size bed. A television is installed high on the wall so you can lounge in style and enjoy your favorite shows and movies.
Past the living room, a full kitchen takes up most of the ground floor area. After all, you need a gorgeous space to cook your game meat if you are a hunter. The kitchen comes with a four-burner cooktop, a refrigerator, a sink with retractable faucet, white quartz countertops, a tiled backsplash, a range hood, a convection oven, a washer/dryer unit, and plenty of overhead and under-counter cabinets clad in blue.

Opposite the kitchen, a storage staircase leads to the loft bedroom, while a fold-down table offers seating for two. Past the table, the bathroom is neatly tucked behind a sliding barn door. Although compact, the bathroom fits a fiberglass shower cabin, a sink, floating shelves, and a toilet. Overhead, the low-ceiling loft houses a king-size bed to sleep two. The bed is flanked by multiple windows, making it bright and fresh.
Pricing for the Kokosing tiny house starts at $79,000, with options for custom inclusion at an additional price. The micro-dwelling can be outfitted with off-grid features to allow ultimate freedom on the road.
