With an ambition of saving your home from accidents and mishaps caused due to gas leakage and CO, a China-based firm Orvibo has created a smart and user-friendly gas detector dubbed Kepler. Having a close resemblance with Nest Protect smoke detector, this one not only safeguards your loved ones from dangerous gas leaks, but also helps you with cooking by virtue of programming timer that it integrates. Additionally, this device also has a clock that displays time on its little screen.
Although CO (carbon monoxide) is a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas, but in high concentrations, when leaked from common household appliances, it can be very toxic when inhaled. You are instantly alerted of looming danger via your smartphone with a simultaneous flashing red light and alarm sound as soon as this device detects higher levels of gas.
This ingenious product combines a sleek and portable designed hardware with a clean-looking mobile software that allows you to monitor your house safety from anyplace, anytime. In case of any dangerous gas leak, Kepler’s early warning system alerts you before the calamity occurs, so you can calmly respond to the situation.
Kepler can be easily detached from its mount and moved to any other place. The programming timer can be set from the app or simply by rotating the outer edge of the device. It is available in white, blue, and red color. Orvibo has successfully raised CAD $30,000 funding on Kickstarter to enter production phase and backers can expect to receive their product by November this year.
