Tesla has ruled the solar roof tiles market for the last few years but still, you can find many competitors in the market. The portable energy solutions company Jackery has also entered the niche market with its solar roof tiles that debuted at CES 2025. These solar roof tiles are designed in a curved form to complement modern architectural styles.
Jackery proudly claims these are the first-ever XBC curved solar roof tiles available in the US. Now, customers can maintain the home’s visual appeal, which was never possible with traditional photovoltaic (PV) panels. They can choose from two classic roof colors- obsidian black and terracotta according to their home’s design. The tiles feature a unique 150-degree curved “smile” design.
The onboard ultra-thin crystalline silicon solar cells, measuring just 0.13 mm thick offer efficiency of over 25 percent. As reported by PV Magazine, the rooftop tiles can generate a maximum of 170W per square meter, with 38W capacity in each tile.

Due to the modular setup of the tiles, maintenance is as easy as the traditional roofing system. You can replace the particular tile when it breaks or stops working. Jackery says the tiles come with a 30-year warranty and can withstand extreme weather conditions like high winds, hail impacts, and temperatures ranging from -40°F to 185°F.
The solar roof tiles are compatible with Jackery’s 5000 Plus and Smart Transfer Switch Kit and the HomePower ES System. The company has not revealed more details about its specifications, pricing, and availability but you can expect it to be available sometime this year.
