In green architecture, it doesn’t get more efficient than a solar-powered building. And in automated homes, iPad-controlled is the pinnacle. When you combine the goods of both worlds you get an 11,740 sq.ft beach-side-mansion on sale for $22 million. The mansion, which currently belongs to Stephen Rizzone, CEO Energous Corp., is LEED certified and has a 3,000 sq.ft solar panel in the backyard. Built overlooking the Newport Beach in Orange County, California, the solar-powered home has four bedrooms, nine bathrooms, two kitchens a personal movie theater and an exciting saltwater swimming pool. Interestingly, the mansion’s heating, lighting, sliding windows, security cameras and air conditioners are all controlled by 15 iPads.
The massive mansion draws up to 95 percent of its electricity from its own solar panels. Though, the house is not self-sustainable completely, it does promise to be an enjoyable experience with the lovely scenic environment, beach view and all the high-tech gadgetry. If you have what it takes to own the mansion (just $22 million to be precise), then wait no longer.
