Updated 8 January 2020: If you wanted news about the iKuddle auto-pack and self-cleaning litter box that is yet to arrive, here is an important update for you. According to a Facebook post, the makers will be exhibiting working models of the iKuddle litter box at CES 2020. It has been adjudged the winner of CES Innovation Award 2020 in Smart Home Category.
They will also be releasing a software upgrade to add a new safety feature that will stop the device from working when the feline is relieving itself inside. They are hoping to start shipping the product in March 2020. As reported by ZDNet, it is also coming to the retail market and will cost $399.
Smart self-cleaning cat litter boxes are a popular thing nowadays because they take care of the messy tasks such as cleaning, filling of litter bags and deodorizing on behalf of pet parents.
First existing example was the LavvieBot revealed at CES 2019 and now we have the iKuddle auto-pack and self-cleaning litter box, which promises kitties and their parents a delightful experience.
Similar to some designer cat bed with beautiful wooden detailing, the iKuddle is suitable for cats weighing between 4-18 lbs.
It initiates cleaning just after a feline comes out after relieving itself – thanks to built-in sensors that detect the cat’s presence and stops the cleaning process automatically.
The smart cat litter box separates waste by scooping clumps into a waste bag. You can also start the cleaning cycle through iKuddle app or by pressing the button on the litter box.
The waste is put into a bag automatically and can be sealed to prevent any smell. It’s super easy for you then! You just need to pull the bag out and dispose it of consciously, only once a week.
The litter box even replaces the waste bag automatically. Each unit comes with 30 waste bags and you can buy more online.
There is also a self-deodorizing system to filter the air of the litter box, resulting in no litter smell in your home.
You can even keep track of the cat’s health statistics based on her usage of the litter box through the companion mobile app.
iKuddle has a built-in lithium battery that lasts for two weeks or you can plug-in it using the charging cable. Furthermore, its parts can be disassembled for easy cleaning and maintenance.

Measuring 30W x 18.5D x 17.2H inch, the iKuddle smart cat litter box weighs about 22lbs and is easy to move around at home.
Aside from pet care and safety, the box’s rounded lines and wooden detail makes it suitable for modern living spaces. Like other ordinary litter boxes, this one will not be an eyesore in home decor.
iKuddle is up for crowd-funding on Kickstarter, if you like the idea, you can pledge a minimum of $299 to get one in July 2019.
