Back in 2019, IKEA collaborated with renowned audio brand Sonos to launch new music gear under the SYMFONISK range. The partnership resulted in a bookshelf speaker, a picture frame speaker, and a table lamp that doubles as a speaker launched last year. One more time, the Swedish furniture maker is back with a new addition to the range – a floor lamp speaker.
As visible in the pictures, the new SYMFONISK floor lamp speaker comprises a tripod stand and a speaker lamp. IKEA has just made a stand with a dedicated holder for its speaker lamp and added a bamboo lampshade. The buyer can also personalize the look with SYMFONISK speaker lamp shades. A small shelf at the bottom of the stand looks ideal for displaying a planter.
The IKEA SYMFONISK range seeks to integrate great sound into functional furniture and the new speaker lamp follows the design approach by getting a new prominent place in the home. You can place it like a lamp anywhere in your home and it will be a vital part of the interior decor.
Sonos is recognized for its multi-room speakers and you can expect the same in the floor lamp speaker as well. Sara Lincoln, Principal Product Manager at Sonos clarifies in the press release, “It works seamlessly with all our Sonos speakers.”
When paired together with other products from the SYMFONISK range or other Sonos products, the lamp can also act as a rear speaker to create a home theatre setup with light and room-filling sound.
Powered by the IKEA DIRIGERA hub, the SYMFONISK floor lamp speaker can be added to the IKEA Home smart app and paired with other smart home devices to create convenient automation scenes.
