Great news for Rivian owners! iKamper has launched a special edition tent for seamless integration into R1T and R1S models. Built on the Skycamp 3.0 Mini, the new Rivian x iKamper Skycamp Mini features a Rivian-specific aesthetic, including blacked-out components contrasted with yellow accents. Additionally, it comes equipped with a self-inflating air mattress for enhanced comfort.
The rooftop tent matches Rivian’s adventure-ready vehicles with Rivian-keyed locking brackets, sleek, aerodynamic hard shell, and exterior badging. It can be set up in 60 seconds but installing it on the car will take more than 30 minutes by 2-3 people. The tent weighs about 137 lbs (61.8 kg) and can hold about 900 lbs (408 kg).
Unlike the Skycamp 3.0, the latches do not lock; however, the tent includes locking brackets compatible with Rivian’s optional Adventure Key Set to ensure the tent remains securely mounted to crossbars. The company claims its Skycamp series can handle winds up to 35 mph from all sides and stays leak-free even in heavy rains.
The lightweight, aerodynamic hard-shell tent maximizes vehicle range while ensuring optimal comfort and durability. The impact on the range is minimal when the tent is mounted below the roof height on the R1T, and when it is mounted on the roof of the R1S or R1T above the roof level, it affects airflow, which will make more impact on the range depending on driving speed and conditions.

This rooftop tent features a dual-layer fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) shell with 1-inch air insulation, breathable, poly-cotton blackout canvas, and a floor constructed from durable, insulating honeycomb aluminum panels making it capable of four seasons. Once inside, you will find a sleeping area measuring 82.85 x 51.25 inches and the interior height in the open position is 48 inches. A self-inflating mattress ensures two people can sleep inside comfortably.
The Rivian x iKamper Skycamp Mini is currently available for purchase at $4,600 from the iKamper official website. The company is offering a free Disco series stove system with every purchase until 15 April.
