French tiny house maker Baluchon is renowned for creating dwellings that are aesthetic and functional. The firm’s new creation called the Hytta tiny house is no different. The mobile home not only serves as a dream paradise to its owner Johanna, but stands tall as an epitome of adaptability.
Commissioned as primary residence of Johanna, the Hytta tiny house is a compact yet spacious abode that embodies both functionality and charm. The 19.6 feet long tiny home is based on a double-axle trailer with a standing seam aluminum roof and red cedar cladding treated with an anti-UV saturator, ensuring durability and visual appeal that blends harmoniously with its natural surroundings.
Crafted with sustainability in mind, the Hytta Tiny House also features a robust framework of spruce, insulated with natural materials such as cotton, linen, and hemp, thus ensuring comfort across all seasons. Baluchon has accoutered the structure with double-glazed windows and a mixed wood door that provide insulation, while a ‘Proclimat rain shield’ and ‘OuatEco vapor barrier’ protect from elements.
Upon entering, the visitors find a shoe cabinet and coat rack in the entryway for practicality. A small ledge accessed via a removable ladder is above the entrance to display books, plants, and such. A reading corner is created below and is a perfect spot for a bibliophile to immerse in the world of books, while simultaneously enjoying the outdoor views.
A little ahead is the multifunctional space (living room) of the house. This is where adaptability plays a crucial role. The living room features a convertible sofa, an oak table, and a wall-mounted woodstove keeping the interior warm. The sofa effortlessly transforms to double mattress to sleep two as the oak table can be moved underneath the woodstove to open up the space.
Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen with two well-appointed units facing each other. Although compact, the kitchen packs storage space and essential appliances so the owner can cook to heart’s desire. It has a two-burner cooktop, microwave, and cabinets and open shelves in the section under the stairs. A sink and a mini refrigerator are installed on the opposite side with more cabinets.

Past the kitchen, the bathroom offers essential amenities including a shower and a dry toilet with eco-friendly features. It also fits a washing machine and storage cupboard.
The Hytta tiny house has one dedicated bedroom above the bathroom. Accessed via a comfortable L-shaped staircase with a handrail, the bedroom has multiple storage solutions, ensuring every inch is maximized for utility. Furnished with a double bed and outfitted with oak wall shelves, the bedroom is practical and stylish.
The micro-dwelling can sleep four people in total. For those inquiring about the price, Baluchon generally makes custom tiny houses, so this comes as a one-off model. You can get in touch with the builder for more information.
