Home Depot has launched a new smart glass door to help you ensure privacy with a fun element. The smart glass door incorporates a built-in bridge to connect the Bluetooth-enabled Hubspace smart lock to Wi-Fi. The fiberglass model by Feather River Doors seamlessly switches between the frosted and clear modes.
This smart glass door features a window that can adjust its charge to switch between clear and frosted views offering you privacy whether you desire it or not. It works with the Hubspace smart home platform for remote control along with Alexa and Google voice control. Or you can press the built-in button to activate it.
Whenever your doorbell camera detects someone coming near the smart glass door, it turns into frost mode and remains clear when no motion is detected.
The smart glass door works on both battery and USB-C connection, provided you have an outlet near the door hinges. The door includes two batteries that can last up to two months depending on the usage. Even if the Wi-Fi connection fails, it can be controlled via Bluetooth. When the battery runs out, the smart door window remains in opaque mode until the battery is charged.
