The Hogzilla truck camper is a great example of how a pickup camper should be. It is a kind of camping solution that you don’t come across often. Developed by Modular Adventures based in South Africa this truck camper has been built for an amazing camping experience in the wild. The truck camping system incorporated in the case of Hogzilla has been named Xpander Canopy.
Xpander Canopy features a slide-out bedroom which is the main highlight of the Hogzilla truck camper. The bedroom can be pulled out and set up in a few minutes and since it is a double bed it offers great sleeping space for two adults. The weatherproof bedroom pod has PVC canvas walls featuring mosquito mesh. The company provides an option of integrating full-length aluminum gullwing doors to elevate protection when out in the wild.
The canopy in the front is packed with kitchen gear that even has a fridge slide fit for models up to 80 liters. There is a drop-down stove table constructed with food storage shelves to let one enjoy an ultimate cooking experience while camping. Another drop-down worktop creates space for kitchen essentials and also functions as the pantry in the case of the Hogzilla truck camper. The camper has water tanks integrated for kitchen use just against the wall.

The canopy features open storage packed with a gas water heater and a 100 Ah lithium battery. The awnings help provide shade for sitting outside and enjoying the nature of the landscape around. They completely cover the kitchen, bedroom, and the driver’s side which is a great thing about this truck camper. There is also a provision for a privacy tent that hangs down on the driver’s side and can be used for an outdoor shower and portable toilet.
The Hogzilla truck camper has been installed on the back of a Toyota Hilux, and it is designed to fit most pickup truck models. The Xpander Canopy was launched in 2023 and is available for order right away. It is offered in two configurations and prices.
