Glitter paper is a surprisingly lithe and attractive craft material and can be used in tons of applications. This holiday season we bring you our personal favorite glitter paper Christmas tree, which won us many compliments last year. This DIY tabletop Christmas tree is quick to make and is a great idea for laid-back decorators who tend to leave things to the last minute. You can make this under 20 minutes and also involve your older kids in the preparations.

Materials Used:
- Green glitter paper
- Chart paper
- Pearls
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
Steps for DIY Glitter Paper Christmas Tree
- Make a paper cone. You can also use a foam cone if you have some at hand
- Next, cut your glitter paper into 2-inch strips. Fold each into half along the width and glue the edges
- Then make incisions along the width of the folded stripes, without separating the glue ends
- Once you have enough of these stripes, begin gluing them onto the cone tapering upward. The first layer will make it look like a party hat, but as you start from bottom up, a beautiful pattern will emerge
- After gluing all the glitter paper strips, glue pearls in a random order to make ornaments
- Add a tree topper star and your glitter paper Christmas tree is ready to dazzle up your tabletop
