GE Lighting is stepping up its smart home game in 2025, making waves at CES with its debut in the smart shade market. Known for its dominance in smart bulbs and switches, the Savant-owned brand is now broadening its horizons with the Proseo line, a sleek, professionally installed range of smart shades, keypads, and panelized lights.
Unveiled previously at CEDIA 2024, the Proseo line takes center stage again, accompanied by GE Lighting’s latest café lights, outdoor strips, and dimmer switches. These additions signal a clear intention to offer a full suite of smart lighting solutions for modern homes.
The Proseo shades promise style and practicality, blending performance fabrics with hidden hardware for a seamless aesthetic. GE highlights the variety of control options and compatibility with its Cync app, ensuring users can manage lighting and shades effortlessly from their phones.
A starter kit, including a switch, is set to launch at $100, with switches ranging between $30 and $60. As for the shades, pricing will be tailored to each installation, suggesting a customized approach for homeowners seeking precision and design.
