Measuring 8.6 feet wide and 32 feet long, built on a triple-axle trailer, Fortaleza tiny house is a wonderful micro-dwelling built by Texas-based Decathlon Tiny Homes. Unlike its tiny home iterations we have seen in the past, the Frotaleza comes with a private bedroom on the ground floor, which is cordoned off from any sort of distraction internally.
“The idea behind Fortaleza tiny house (based on Poseidon model) was to incorporate a private master bedroom. I wanted a master bedroom downstairs completely walled off with a door and everything. This was something I had not seen other makers do. So I wanted to create that.” Jerry Terry, CEO Decathlon Tiny Homes told Homecrux.
Fortaleza’s pure-white exterior has multiple windows to keep the house well-ventilated. There is an overjoyed glass sliding door with blinds, which catches attention. The lovely and bright interior of the tiny house boasts a 272-square-foot floor plan with a ground-floor bedroom, a sleeping loft, a full kitchen, a living space, and a bathroom.
At the back of the tiny house on the main level is a bedroom with an attractive avocado accent wall. The room can easily accommodate a queen-size bed. It has two closets: one standard 3-foot closet and one with storage integrated shelves. There is a panoramic skylight and a fan on the ceiling. Whereas, the other bedroom is on the loft, which is accessible via a storage-integrated staircase with safety rails. The bedroom has a 68-square-foot space that can accommodate two queen-size beds.
“We have clients who have a kid or two, and this tiny house really helps us because it does have two bedrooms, one for kids to sleep in the loft and the other for adults to sleep in the downstairs bedroom,” Jerry informs.

Adding to the convenience is a fully furnished kitchen by the entrance equipped with a countertop, cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, sink, overhead cabinets, and under-bench drawers to store various kitchen items. Adjacent to the kitchen on one side is a living area with generous space to accommodate a sofa and a coffee table. This space features a beautiful skylight in the wooden ceiling and a window for the indoor-outdoor connection.
On the other side of the kitchen is a fully-functional bathroom. It has a sink vanity, a shower area, a washer/dryer unit, and a toilet. This tiny house is also equipped with an air-conditioner to keep the temperature regulated. We are not aware of the exact price of Fortaleza, however, the Poseidon model itself starts at $112,750.
