Fllair outdoor dining furniture collection designed by London-based designer Samuel Wilkinson for German brand Dedon is something that carries the beauty of the nature. The woven furniture collection includes two pieces, an armchair and a 1400mm pedestal table. Inspired by the timeless beauty of the Greek islands, both the pieces showcase a bespoke horizontal weave that is designed to highlight the contours of the form.
Wilkinson found inspiration for this series in Fiskardo, a charming fishing town in Kefalonia, Greece. Its warm summers and sailboats gliding through the port inspired the creation of Fllair.
The collection features soft, sculptural curves that evoke a sense of serenity. A wide, horizontal fiber creates a contrasting stripe that flows through each curve, evoking the natural undulations of the Greek coastline.
The armchair has a sculptural and monolithic form, along with a generous rounded collar that curves at the top to create an ergonomic backrest and armrest. Thick cushions add both comfort and style to the design.
Similarly, the dining table features a round top made from teak wood planks, with seating for up to five people. Combining both the pieces, the conical form of the table base elegantly matches the chair’s curved backrest.
