For designers’ inspiration flows in from all corners, some find it in the simplest of things and some take it to the level that’s beyond imagination. Brendan Gallagher, a Canadian Industrial design student has created an unorthodox rocking chair inspired by the Toronto’s Bustle clothing owing to its cool patterns, crisp silhouettes and colors. These qualities apparent in Bustle clothing’s fun and playful Fall/Winter 2011/2012 collection formed basis for Brendan creatively done rocking chair. The chair’s curved back and armrests are made from solid walnut while the upholstered seat is supported by wire mesh woven on a loom and finished in a coat of textured powder. Featuring a great low slung seat attached with a foamed cushion for seating the chair is comfortable and unique to fit into any modern home.
