Jaime Hayon and BD Barcelona Design are long-time collaborators and have worked together on a number of furniture collections. Explorer is the newest one, which includes a series of glass-fiber tables. The duo unveiled three side tables called Explorer 1, 2 and 3 last year and are now adding new pieces to the collection.
The Explorer collection is expanded with the N5 oval dining table and the N4 round coffee table. Just like the earlier models, these tables also take design inspiration from jelly beans, the colorful, rounded sugar candies for children.
Both the tables feature a rounded design, even in the base. The body and base of tables are made of fiberglass while the top is crafted in Polaris.
According to the designer, these tables are functional and sculpturally strong. The tables have some parts painted in gloss and some in matte finish; while the reflective top surface adds to the cool, vibrant look.

There are also different color options for bases and body, which further enhances the collection, the designer Jaime Hayon claims. These tables can serve as a functional centerpiece in any modern space. Head over to the BD Barcelona Design website for details about pricing and availability.
