Mexico-based EWE Studio handcrafts one-of-a-kind sculptural furniture, lighting, and artworks. We have previously seen Alquimia home collection made from volcanic rock from them, now the studio is back with the Aura white onyx stone lamp. This piece of art is influenced by the religious elements, objects and places of worship.
The Aura luminaire comprises four semi-circular shapes that resemble the arches of altars and churches from the colonial era. It sits on a generous Tezontle volcanic rock base boasting natural colors and textures.
The four semi-circular cups are handcrafted from white onyx and are placed at a distance of 4cm from each other. A vein-like pattern is visible in the chalcedony which emits the light that’s generated in the volcanic rock in the base.

With clean, rounded lines, the Aura lamp is very decorative and meaningful for art collectors and those who would prefer a prospective material at home.
The lamp creates a warm glow by highlighting white and brown patterns to create an enchanting visual impact. This artistic lamp is part of the Recover/Uncover exhibition at MASA gallery.
