I don’t know much about coffee makers except for my one-cup Bialetti moka pot and Utopia Kitchen French press, for these are the only ones I own. I don’t have a favorite, though I enjoy French press coffee more. The complete control over water temperature, grind coarseness, and coffee-to-water ratio, paired with the desired steep time, gives the ultimate morning boost. The only issue with the French press I currently have is that it doesn’t filter grit completely. So naturally, when I came across ESPRO French presses, its double filtration system snagged my attention.
Canadian brand ESPRO is devoted to exploring and improving coffee and tea brewing methods. In its quest, the company has been creating impeccable French presses, the latest of which is the ESPRO 2 with a no-mess principle. ESPRO 2 French press is designed with the signature double filtration system to provide you with completely grit-free coffee every single time.
As for the cleaning of the coffee maker, the no-brainer design of French presses makes it easier to clean them by hand. I clean mine manually, but ESPRO 2 is dishwasher-safe for added convenience for lazy coffee drinkers. As for the brew, there is an all-new BrewPod that makes measuring easier and keeps all the grit contained.
The ESPRO 2 French press is built with German medical-grade ultra-fine stainless steel. The double-walled vacuum insulation of the French press keeps your coffee hot for over six hours and the cold brew cool for 12 hours without losing the flavor. This feature would come in perfectly handy during long working hours from home or tending to the summer garden.
I like that ESPRO 2 is the only French press designed to work with a paper filter, ensuring the smoothest extraction. It has apatented AirLock technology with a vacuum-sealed silicone lip that separates the coffee grounds from the brew. This addition stops extraction at the right time, leaving you with a cup of rich, balanced notes.

You can use the ESPRO 2 French press to make hot coffee, teas, and cold brews. It will provide a well-balanced and perfect cup of your choice of beverage. This will be a nice, versatile addition to my kitchen this summer. It is currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter, where early bird pledges will receive a 42 percent discount on the retail price of $119.
So, if you are someone like me who likes coffee or even tea, this French press is worth your money. In the meantime, you can check out other offerings by ESPRO, including the ESPRO P3 French press, which Wirecutter called the best French press out there.
