Designing new creatives with unusual shapes has always excited and challenged the German conceptual furniture designer Deniz Aktay. Aktay is known for his precision through engaging artwork as he endeavors to bring perfect harmony between proportion, material, and functionality as he said in a conversation with Homecrux. One of his projects, the Elevator coffee table is designed along similar lines of minimalism for effortlessly adapting to your space.
The elevated coffee table draws its entire structure around geometrical shapes bent and finalized into gorgeous furniture. The shape has two three-quarter circular metal sheets for the base and tabletop. In the middle, a one-quarter circle is attached to the top and base with two square metal sheets used vertically, creating different storage levels.
It is a secure place to hold daily-use items such as books, coffee mugs, and tablets or display delicate showpieces. A stable base allows the table to hold its ground firmly when laden with objects. The table brings a versatile and multifunctional approach to contemporary furniture.
The Elevator table has a clean design displaying fine detailing with the most understated element at the fore: creativity. Deniz Aktay ingeniously pushes the boundaries of design by crafting a functional yet engaging piece from the simplicity of material and process. The Elevator coffee table is formed using a single material making it a durable furniture piece.
