The Flare Capsule Collection by Draga & Aurel adheres to the core principles of the design studio with a hypnotizing blend of colors on the spectrum on acrylic plastic resin material known as lucite. The multidisciplinary design studio crafts crystalline furniture designs for this delicate series serving the spectrum of furniture, textile, and interior design.
The furniture collection is created in collaboration with New York-based art gallery Todd Merrill Studio for creating and displaying captivating hues for the furniture. Seven coffee tables and totem-style sculptures are made to adorn your living room or bedroom.
The Flare collection has art pieces that can serve functionality and fashion to enhance bland spaces with a pop of color. This time, the designers pushed artistic boundaries by choosing Lucite, a transparent acrylic plastic resin material that displays interesting visuals upon interacting with light. The process used numerous layers of Lucite sheets in varied shapes and thicknesses which are then cut and placed together while securing the sections with glue.
