Pampas grass is a tricky thing to handle, especially when it comes to home décor. But the charm of a hair spray (to keep the grass intact) can make all your troubles go away. The reason I am talking about this dramatic plant is because I have used it for a DIY pampas grass wreath made for Halloween and fall decorations. There was a lot of wild pampas variety growing in my backyard and I thought why not utilize it for home décor? So come along and see how I DIYed a pampas Halloween wreath using nothing but a handmade wild vine wreath base and pampas grass stalks.
Materials Used:
- Pampas grass stalks
- Wreath base
- Black spray paint
How to DIY Pampas Grass Wreath for Halloween
- Grab faux or real pampas grass stalks
- Begin by sticking the stalks inside the grapevine (or ordinary vine) wreath base in a spiral shape
- Add as many stalks as you can in the base to give it a rich, full appearance
- Once the spiral is complete, spray both the base and grass with black paint
- You can add any spooky touches such as bats, spiders, or festive ribbons but I chose to leave it as is because it looked so pretty
- Now you can hang it to adorn your doors, windows, and empty walls this festive season
