Once upon a time, there was a girl fascinated by fairytales and whimsical worlds full of magic and fairy creatures. Alas, she was to remain on a mortal plain with mortal men who could only dream about those otherworlds. But the barriers of space and time wouldn’t diminish her spirit and she would go on to create extraordinary things from the ordinary, just like turning a simple eggshell into a woodland candle fit to welcome the Easter Bunny.
So how did she do it? Well, she took a few eggs and gently broke them at a two-third mark, without destroying the shell. She then carefully washed the larger pieces in a bowl of warm water and coaxed the egg layer from the shells using a finger.
Now that the shells were washed and dried, this girl used masking tape to create a zig-zag pattern on two shells. These shells were then submerged in separate glasses of water that had different food dyes in them. After an hour, the shells were removed, and the tape peeled off to reveal a beautiful design.

She then melted some soy wax on low heat, placed the eggshells on an egg tray, and poured the warm wax in them. The wicks were added and the candles were left to cure.

Meanwhile, the girl created a beautiful setup to echo the beauty of those fanciful worlds she dreamed about. She gathered some wildflowers and tiny grass to adorn an egg tray. Once the candles were cured, tiny dried wildflower sprigs were wedged in there to make them even more adorable.

Then the girl carefully set the table and placed the eggshell Easter candle on the decorated egg tray. She lit them up and saw the striking flames beautify everything around them.
Caution: The girl, hereby, would like to share a word of caution with the audience. “Do not leave your lit candles unattended, especially one where you have used flammable materials such as natural foliage and cardboard egg cartons.”

Will you be turning your festive spring table into a tale of whimsy by making these eggshell candles for Easter? Should you attempt this, the girl would love to hear your thoughts on it. Happy Easter! May the Easter Bunny bring you a lot of joy and love!
