I recently made a chunky yarn blanket and had some of the yarn left over. I couldn’t bring myself to throw that two-meter string, which was now left without any purpose. But as Christmas neared, I thought to give that string another shot at life in the form of a DIY chunky yarn Christmas tree. It not only helped me create something beautiful but also repurpose something that otherwise would have gone to waste.
That is the great thing about the festive season. Even the waste can be turned into treasure if only you have the eye and the creative thumb for it. So what are you waiting for? Come along as I make a DIY chunky yarn Christmas tree for tabletop decorations this holiday season.

How to Make Chunky Yarn Christmas Tree
Step 1: This 5-minute Christmas craft begins with a paper or foam cone, which is wrapped with a chunky yarn from the top down.
Step 2: Once all the yarn is in place, you need to glue the edge of the yarn under eh cone so it won’t come unraveling.
Step 3: Now wrap the conical shape in fairy lights.
Step 4: Glue small pearls sporadically on the shape to mimic ornaments and add a tree topper star to finish the ensemble.
That is it. Your DIY Christmas tree is ready to go onto your festive tabletop. Check out the video tutorial below and let us know what you think.
