Good lighting is essential to create an inviting space and to set the mood right. Whether it is a casual get together with friends at home or a huge family gathering, there is different kinds of light for every occasion. Philips Hue caters to the need of setting an immersive aura with its wide range of lighting for indoors and outdoors. Recently, it unveiled the Datura ceiling light designed to create a sweet environment with dramatic undertones.
The Datura has been integrated with two ambient lights – the dimmable white and bright colored light – to brighten up the room as the day winds down and the other one to cast an atmospheric effect. One of the smart additions includes control of both the settings independently with a Hue app that lets you adjust and personalize the lights according to the setting and decorum of your space. It also means the light can be controlled remotely.
It is made from plastic and finished in white color. Although the frame is minimal, the Datura has a round front part that produces light, while a diffused backlight glow is projected onto the ceiling. Designed for a nurturing living room space and cozy bedroom, the Datura ceiling light is just what you need for an immersive, cuddly movie night, for heart to heart conversations, or for an intimidating gaming night. Easy on the eyes, it lets your drift away into a sweet slumber as you are tucked cozily in your bed.
There are two size variants of the Datura, large and small. Similar in design and appearance, they differ in lumens. The small ceiling lamp generates up to 3,840 lumens, while the larger version produces up to 5390 lumens. The small lamps can last up to 25,000 hours with a 48W bulb, whereas the bigger one lasts up to 25,000 with a 67W bulb.
It is an amazing ceiling light that lets you have a captivating lighting experience. It is priced at $330 for the smaller size and $455 for the bigger one.
