Before I introduce you to the Cumberland tiny house, let’s get some facts straight. To begin with, there is no clear definition of what a tiny house on wheels actually is, and the explanation may vary depending on the rules and regulations of different counties and countries. A widely accepted notion suggests that any dwelling on wheels that offers 400 square feet of space or below comes under the category of a tiny house. Implying, a model that measures 40 feet long and 10 feet wide (at max) is what we consider a tiny house.
Let’s go back to the Wind River Tiny designed Cumberland tiny house for now. Technically it’s a park model home that measures 45 feet long. However, it’s the 10 feet gigantic porch that extends the length of the tiny house. So the core shell measures 35 feet long and it’s the porch that turns it into a 45 feet Park Model home.
Having said that, the integrated porch not only gives you extra protection from wild animals but also offers an outside area to sit and relax. The entire structure of the tiny house is finished in lap siding with board and batten accents. It is accoutered with white-framed windows and trim, a galvalume metal roof, and gray/brushed nickel fixtures on the exterior.

A glass door welcomes you to the living room of the house. Featuring a large sofa, the living room is quite spacious and offers walking space to the user. Not to mention, the interior features white shiplap walls, stained tongue & groove ceiling, and medium-tone hardwood flooring. Adjacent is the kitchen which comes equipped with white shaker cabinets with light gray solid surface countertops, stainless fixtures, and hardware. The kitchen is jam-packed with loads of appliances including a four-burner electric range, fridge, tanked water heater, and LG mini split for heating and cooling.
As you walk past the kitchen, you’ll find a hallway featuring a workstation equipped with a full-size desk. This is an ideal place to set up your home office or gaming station. Opposite the workstation is the bathroom of the Cumberland tiny house. It contains a porcelain tile shower, vanity base with solid surface top, and offers an option between Gravity flush, white, round bowl with slow close seat.

The walkway leads to the main-floor bedroom. Equipped with a queen size bed, and two floating nightstands, the bedroom can accommodate two people with ease. Overall, the Cumberland tiny house is a perfect abode for couples, individuals, and even large families. With all these amenities to offer, no wonder Wind River has priced the mobile habitat at $142,000.

This just goes to show you what this so called world has come to. $142,000 for something that SMALL is totally RIDICULOUS, I don’t care if it is furnished, that price is TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!!
You got that right you can buy a normal house for that
This is one of the best layouts of a tiny home I have seen.
Just wondering, where is the laundry area?
And is it possible to install a gas/propane kitchen stove instead of electric?

Tiny homes? Are you kidding me. We the people aren’t good enough now to live in a normal size house? Let’s get this straight, the billionare elites can live in their many mansions, stables full of sports cars, private jets, and exotic foods, but expect the peasants, to eat grasshoppers, live in pathetic tiny homes, and drive cheap electric cars to save the world! What an insult. They can jam their tiny homes right where it fits.
Some people like a simpler life. In my area you need to make a minimum of $100k to rent a 1 bedroom apartment. Condos start at $600k. If I was single and didn’t have a hobby that takes up a lot of space I’d totally live in one.
Thank you so much for the tour on YouTube. The house is beautifully done, the designer is really on point. I especially love the wood ceiling and built in closets and shelf in the master. Great work
