Immaculate designs backed up with technological advancements are the new face of office furnishings. Creative adjustments made to traditional furniture aid a workplace to become more collaborative, vigorous, and ergonomic. Originating from the intellect of the design studio Form Us With Love, in collaboration with Danish manufacturer +Halle, the Cubicle Collection is a celebration of office solitude and corner workspaces. The unique furniture is described as a “bench and wall system.”
A modern take on outdated cubicles, this arrangement brings a fresh and not-so-stuffy vibe to work environments. Concluding research based on analyzing data collected from four zones in Dokk1, Scandinavia’s biggest library, it was perceived that people prefer an overview of their workspace along with a well-rested and covered back. The design of the Cubicle Collection is based on the Ph.D. research of engineer Andrew Khoudi.
Launched during the 3 Days of Design festival in Copenhagen, the designers took cues from semi-rooms with larger spaces, replicating diner booths and train carriage designs. This arrangement is backed with a secure seat in an indoor workspace to build upon one’s focus.

The furniture is built using oak-veneered plywood laying emphasis on the use of optional upholstery engineered with power sockets integrated beneath the seat. The setup involves multiple configurations. One features a high backdrop, one bench seat, and small integrated tables. Another has two seats facing each other and one table in the middle. These unique spaces can either be used to work or have a tete-a-tete with a colleague.
Form Us With Love intelligently used the researched information to develop a family of freestanding furniture pieces. Being the latest entrant in the series of +Halle products, it offers a sense of comfortably enclosed space rather than confinement. Built chiefly to contribute to the essence of an open indoor workspace, The Cubicle Collection aims to model the seating comfort at a library or office.
