People are crazy about smart homes owing to their growing popularity, as more and more homeowners are demanding to equip their residences with smart features such as voice-controlled lighting, touchless doors, and whatnot. While traditional houses are well-appointed to incorporate these attractive and immensely useful fixtures, the ever-growing tiny house industry seems a bit lacking on this front.
To that end, Oregon-based Covo Tiny House Co has created the Covo Mio; a 26-foot-long dwelling with high-tech smart home features. The Covo Mio has 330 square feet of living area with off-grid capabilities. Boasting a stunning wooden exterior, the tiny house on wheels has a loft bed, a full kitchen, a workstation, and a composting toilet.
Built on a double-axle trailer base, the tiny house is equipped with high-tech amenities including a Nest thermostat, remote-controlled smart door lock, Bluetooth sound system, LED lights, built-in USB ports, 50-inch television, Amazon Echo, and a Wink Hub. The connected entertainment systems and keyless locks make this tiny house one of the smartest micro-dwelling out there.

The Covo Mio also provides the perfect work-from-home solution with a dedicated workstation accompanied by an automated height-adjustable desk on one end of the house. It also functions as an entertainment nook when a day’s work is accomplished. It includes a 55-inch 4K monitor and television, an automated sit-stand work desk, and built-in USB ports.
The living room area faces a breakfast bar next to a big window. The said window can be opened in an awning style to extend the living area and be a part of the patio if you wish to include one.

Opposite the living space is the kitchen of the compact house. Equipped with a three-burner gas range and oven, a fridge and freezer, and plenty of counter space and storage, the kitchen is fully stocked to allow you to enjoy scrumptious meals while you are living your most adventurous life on the road. There is even a drop-down wine rack on the kitchen ceiling. It also stores a washer/dryer combo.
The tiny house features two lofts. The main sleeping area is concealed from sight in the larger loft. Accessed from the storage-integrated staircase next to the kitchen, the sleeping loft is spacious and has a skylight. The smaller loft can be used to keep things stored.

The bathroom is next to the kitchen and comes with a shower, composting toilet, and vanity sink. A tiny closet space next to the entrance allows you to store coats, shoes, and other small items.
The Covo Mio tiny house features a garage at the rear where you can store a couple of bicycles and a portable fireplace. The compact dwelling may be small but its smart features make it worthy of the $97,000 price tag.
