France-based Plume has a knack for building tiny homes that are highly efficient and effortlessly meet the needs of the dwellers. Its latest micro-dwelling, the Courte Eclaircie is an exquisite tiny house with an open-space layout. The compact house is outfitted to accommodate four people thanks to the loft bedroom and a retractable table in the living room that transforms into a bed for two.
The exterior of this tiny house boasts a sturdy built with CL II spruce frame and French thermo poplar cladding. There are multiple windows and a glass entry door with double-glazed aluminum joinery. The design of the house is captivating inside-out, which is further accentuated by a split roof design. Inside, it has solid spruce parquet flooring in living spaces and lacquered aluminum roofing. The house is well-insulated and air-conditioned to keep dwellers cozy year-round. Meanwhile, a gaggle of windows and an open-floor layout keep it breathable.
You enter into the large living area where sunlight brightens up the space. It is cozy with an L-shaped sofa with storage underneath. Besides being comfy, the space is versatile as well. The dining table in the living room, inspired by a layout of a motorhome and boat, retracts and transforms into a bed for two. There is a tiny bench that can be used to display plants and books. For the cold days, a compact cast iron wood stove with internal fuel will create a snug atmosphere.
Past the living area, the kitchen revels in sage and wood tones. It is equipped with two countertops, a sink, under-counter cabinets, and shelves above. Maximizing the space is a pantry for spices and other dry goods. There are appliances such as a cooktop, a microwave, and a mini fridge. There is storage under the stairs for additional kitchen essentials or living room items.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a bathroom enclosed by a door. It has a shower, a flush toilet, and a vanity sink. To make the space stand out, the floor is covered in grey-tinted cork.
