Canadian builder Rover Tiny Homes has a beautiful lineup of big and spacious micro-dwellings that offer downsized living in luxury. From Silvertip, Elkhorn and Hemlock to Hornby, Denman and Cortes, each tiny house is designed with Canada’s wild weather in mind and classic blueprints infused with eclectic layouts. The latest to join this elite group is the Tulameen tiny house. It is the runt of the litter when it comes to size, but that by no means defines its aesthetic or luxury.
The Tulameen tiny house on wheels is a cottage-core coded structure with a mini porch, window boxes, three adorable dormers, and a shingled exterior. Each element of the house is crafted to exude quiet luxury and classic cottage charm, even the blue-gray exterior with white trim.
Built on a triple-axle trailer, the tiny house measures 36 feet long and 10.5 feet wide. This may not allow this home road legality all the time, but it can be moved from one place to another with special permits. Tulameen is perfect to be used as a full-time residence whether you want it custom-built as a mobile home, park model, RV, or a pre-fabricated home. But that isn’t what makes it alluring.
It’s the historic building character of the dwelling that snags on interest. The house only has one bedroom, a spacious bathroom, an open-plan living space and kitchen, and a mudroom space in the hallway. The blue-gray of the exterior is continued inside, where the kitchen is the center of attraction.
The L-shaped kitchen is compact but has the warmth and character of a typical cottage. Although you wouldn’t get any exposed wood or stone to see, the color, shapes, and little details in here make it worth it. The kitchen includes modern appliances in a well-managed space. There is a sink facing a scalloped design window, adding distinct personality.
The living room is adjacent and has a small couch, which could be swapped with a sofa bed for additional sleeping space, a coffee table, and a reading chair. The most noticeable element in this area is the patterned black and white tiled floor.
Down the hall from the living area is the mudroom space, where the side entrance opens up. There is a closet for to-go items and a laundry nook. The bathroom is spacious for a tiny house of this size and exudes opulence. Black tiled shower space, vanity sink, and a toilet are all you’ll find, but the material combination will pique your interest.

The bedroom is at the end of the hallway. It is huge and can fit a king-size bed, a couple of nightstands, and some additional furniture such as a cabinet on the side or a work desk. Two window flank the bed and an open closet provide storage.
The covered porch space is adorable and perfect for simply sitting and admiring the surroundings. The window boxes are a rarity that we haven’t seen in a long time in a tiny house. There are two window boxes, one in the living space and the second one in the bedroom, both infusing it with a whimsical sense. This works great for people who like blooms peeking out their windows.
The Tulameen tiny house is priced at CAD 169,900 (roughly $117,600). If you live in the coldest parts of the planet, rest assured that this tiny house is built to tame the harshest weather conditions while keeping you cozy inside.
