Corsair released Platform:6 a predecessor in October 2023 which was believed to be an endgame of working and gaming desks. But after almost two years Platform:4 Elevate Desk has addressed the need for a compact height adjustable desk that fits in small spaces.
The modular desk retains 66 percent of the predecessor’s size and 99 percent of its features which comes as a boon for those living in humble abodes, who always missed the privilege of setting up an extensive gaming desk in small apartments, shared spaces, or tiny houses. The good part is that optional accessories are also available that elevate the scope of keeping your desk organized.
There are two models of the desk, one has a fixed height while another one called ‘Elevate’ is height-adjustable with the push of a button or using preset schedules. Desk specs of both models are the same, with a few add-ons for the Elevate model. A utilitarian addition to the models is the RapidRoute wire management system. It is a nicely conceived wide trough just below the desk that helps in managing messy cables, power bars, and some things that you don’t want to keep on the desk.
There is a huge opening in the backside of the desk so that you can seamlessly route cables without bending or pushing them too hard. Additionally, the tray hinges open with the unscrewing of just two thumbscrews to provide easy cable access. This means easy installation of your gaming or working gear on the Platform:4 desk without any hassles. The back framework of the table is perforated with a grid of slots and holes, so that you can anchor the cables or other things to the precise points.
It has a modular T-Channel system that comes with a monitor mount. Pro DIYers will notice that some parts of this modular table are made using 3060 rails that join regular T-nuts. This way you can bolt all extra accessories and peripherals without any limitations Also, there are many features carried from the large predecessor Platform:6 like a small cubby at the back of the desk that has a storage pod to stash important items.
