Danish furniture manufacturer Hay commissioned Bouroullec brothers Ronan and Erwan, to create simple yet elegant furniture for the University of Copenhagen. The designer duo came up with the Copehague Collection that includes chair, bar stool and various table designs. But the Copenhague Table impressed us the most with its minimal design that offers great versatility.
The table is designed to escape bureaucracy of traditional furniture designs used in the institute before. It provides flexibility to the students to adjust according to their current needs. Furthermore, A-shaped framework can be attached at front section of the table to easily stack necessary books.
It is a compact wooden desk with dimensions 51 x 26 x 29-inches and can also fit into home or office settings other than institutional space. The table top is made of linoleum fixed over plywood and rests on a firm lacquered oak frame. It can be ordered in different colored linoleum finishes i.e. black, green, off-white and grey; depending on interior of your home or office.
You can purchase in online for £510 (approx. US $829) to increase counter space within your study or any other room. This compact table is idyllic for small home and office settings where workspace is limited.
