The tiny house movement may be extremely popular in North America and Australia but it is still establishing itself in Europe. While makers like Baluchon, Berghaus, and Tiny Wunder House have taken the movement to a new high in the continent, these companies/manufacturers are restricted to their respective countries. The case for Madeiguincho, a Portuguese woodworking studio is no different. The Cascais-based tiny house builder has made over a dozen micro-dwellings but it doesn’t reach enthusiasts globally due to being restricted to Portugal.
But as a master crafter who doesn’t care who likes or dislikes his work and keeps honing his skills, Madeiguincho has released another micro dwelling designed for off-grid living, named the Concha tiny house. This Concha tiny house is quite compact but doesn’t skimp on convenience. Whether sleeping two people or offering a minimalist functional layout to the dweller, the compact house does it all.
Measuring just 16.4 feet in length, the Concha sits on a double-axle trailer, making it a great option for those who want a portable home. To put its size into context, it’s smaller than a traditional Baluchon tiny house. From a design standpoint, the Concha tiny house is inspired by Madeiguincho’s earlier Brava model and has a similar aesthetic.
Inside, the space is finished with plywood and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. With limited floor space, the layout is simple and open. Much of the interior is dedicated to a multi-functional area serving as seating, storage, and a daybed.
The tiny house features a small kitchen equipped with cabinetry, a sink, a fridge, and a portable electric stove. The compact bathroom includes a sink, shower, and composting toilet.

Concha tiny house also features a loft bedroom accessed by a storage-integrated staircase. The staircase has a built-in window to enhance the bathroom’s light. The bedroom is a cozy loft with a low ceiling and a double bed.
The mobile home is capped with solar panels and has fresh and greywater tanks. Running on a standard RV-style hookup, the Concha tiny house is fully set up for off-grid living. Sold at around US$63,000, it offers an affordable, self-sufficient living solution.
