Whenever covering a tiny house, I look for some prerequisites, which include aesthetics, functionality, and size. Any tiny house I would love to write about must feature high-end appliances, essential furnishing, and should be towable. Searching for one such tiny home, I stumbled upon the Handcrafted Movement‘s Columbia Craftsman tiny house on wheels.
Measuring 30 feet long and 8.5 feet wide, the micro dwelling is built on a triple-axle trailer. It is finished in board and batten siding with Pacific cedar accents and topped by a Standing seam metal roof. The tiny house features two entry doors. A French exterior door welcomes you to the living room of the house, if I may term this compact space with only a chair, the living area.
To the right is the sliding door that leads to the main-floor bedroom. Equipped with a double bed and salvaged walnut headboard, the bedroom sleeps a couple. The salvaged walnut headboard adds elegance to the space and also protects the interior walls from any sort of abrasion.
On the left-hand side of the living room is the kitchen of the tiny house. It contains an LP gas range, an exterior vented hood fan with LED lighting, a refrigerator/freezer with automatic defrost, and a mixture of brass and matte black hardware throughout. Not to mention, an array of cabinets, a countertop, and shelves that are used for storage purposes. Not to mention, an extendable walnut countertop that can be used as a workspace and dining, when or if required.

As aforementioned, there is an exterior door at the rear. It leads directly to the mudroom of the house. It boasts space for about 40 hangers. Adjacent is the bathroom of the Columbia Craftsman tiny house. Just like other tiny homes from Handcrafted Movement, the Columbia Craftsman’s bathroom features a shower, an energy-efficient flush bath toilet, and a bath vanity, alongside built-in storage space.
The sole loft of the house lies above the main-floor bedroom. Accessed via a storage-integrated staircase, it sleeps two people comfortably. The tiny home is currently not available for purchase and has been retired by the company. In case you want to get a one-off model built for yourself, visit the official website of the company.
