Chocolate advent calendars are a thing of the past. Begin 2016 Christmas countdown with latest Cheese Advent Calendar. Created by London-based food blogger Annem Hobson, the special calendar is meant to count the days in anticipation of Christmas while enjoying a dairy treat every day.
It is a piece of card incorporated with small numbered flaps, which can be opened each day of Advent to reveal a cheesy treat and a picture relevant to the season. Inside the card lies a tray full of delicious morsels of cheese, giving the box maximum yellowish glow.
Unfortunately, only one prototype of this calendar has been made so far. But this calendar will be available for purchase in 2017. It is a DIY project by Annem, who is also providing you with a step-by-step tutorial that shows you how to make a cheese advent calendar at home.
Check out instructions on how to make your own holiday-themed calendar on Annem’s website. If you don’t want to make one of your own, the Cheese Advent Calendar website also lets you sign-up and receive updates for its sale in 2017. More than 1000 people are already interested in the project so far.
