Nest-connected gadgets for smart home automation are not new to the world. However, the latest smart washers and dryers from Whirlpool are the largest appliances so far, to sync with Nest thermostat. The smart Top Load as well as Front Load washer and dryer connect to Nest Learning Thermostat, allowing them to adapt your lifestyle to save power bills.
These appliances come with an EcoBoost option, which uses information from your Nest to delay cycles while you’re away. When you’re not home, this latest system takes longer dry time at a lower temperature whilst saving you money. Moreover, on coming back the machines will automatically lower its sound, so you don’t notice that appliances are already running.
The more than 100-year-old home appliance company has planned to hit the market with these latest appliances, this spring. Before that Whirlpool will also be showcasing these machines at International CES 2015. Apart from smart laundry machines, the company will also show off interactive backsplashes and smart cooktops for future connected homes.
